Georgia’s Todd Gurley tears his ACL.
(14:20) — Alabama 25, Mississippi State 20: Ty was really impressed with the Tide’s defense, which picked of Dak Prescott three times and held Josh Robinson to just 37 yards rushing. Dan seconds Ty’s takeaways, calling it a masterful performance by the Tide despite inconsistent offense.
(19:00) — Georgia 34, Auburn 7: Dan and Ty point to Auburn’s penchant to turning the ball over this season led to this blowout loss at a talented Georgia team. Dan says Nick Marshall was inaccurate, Cameron Artis-Payne couldn’t get going to his standards and the entire offense stalled repeatedly.
(26:10) — Florida State 30, Miami 26: Dan and Ty discuss how big of a halftime lead would they need to feel comfortable in beating Florida State. Dan says the Seminoles adjust so well and they have so much speed, it’s hard to maintain any leads — any type of mistake will open the door wide open for Florida State.
(37:30) — Oregon State 35, Arizona State 27: The Beavers went to the ground to beat the Sun Devils, which surprised Dan. He also points out the Sun Devils struggles in the second half after scoring just three points in the final 30 minutes against Oregon State.
(49:00) — TCU 34, Kansas 30: Ty wants to know “What was this?” Dan says it wasn’t a god-awful performance, but it was a bad one, and if the Horned Frogs are really a top five team, they have to look better. TCU just didn’t do any of the little things in this game that the really, really good teams would do to look better against a bad Jayhawk team.
(53:00) — Wisconsin 59, Nebraska 24: Dan and Ty discuss “Mel-Gor’s” unbelievable day.
(57:40) — Ohio State 31, Minnesota 24: Ty was fairly impressed with Minnesota, which hung with the Buckeyes for the most part. Both Dan and Ty praised the play of JT Barrett.
(1:00.50) — Northwestern 43, Notre Dame 40: Ty dubs this game the “Irish Letdown,” the letdown loss after an emotional loss. The Irish turn the ball over four more times, Ty says, and can’t stop the run or the pass.
