(3:40) — Ty and Dan discuss the newly released College Football Playoff rankings.
(12:10) — Big 10 suspends Maryland suspends Stefon Diggs.
(14:00) — Ohio State (+12) at Minnesota: Ty wonders if Ohio State could possibly have a letdown game here. Dan says it’s possible considering the Gophers won’t turn the ball over and has a decent defense. Ty points out that Minnesota’s best win is likely Iowa last week, and lost to Illinois the week before.
(30:00) — Nebraska (+6) at Wisconsin: Chris the Capper’s pick for the week comes in this matchup. Dan is more confident in Nebraska as a complete team than Wisconsin at this point. Ty points out that both defenses have been good, but Dan isn’t so sure if that means the defenses are good units considering the weak schedule in the Big 10.
(19:10) — Clemson (-3) at Georgia Tech: Deshaun Watson will return for the Tigers, which is good news considering he did this a month ago. Dan loves Clemson’s front-7, which he says will be able to slow the Yellow Jackets’ option attack. However, Clemson is capable of turning the ball over enough to give Tech some early opportunities. Ty says he can never figure out these two teams out, so he’s not confident about his pick.
(45:50) — Florida State (-2) at Miami: Dan says the Canes have the formula to be able to pull off an upset — at home, can run the ball, can play defense and can matchup reasonably well athletically. Also, Miami’s Duke Johnson could be the difference-maker. Ty would not be surprised if Miami got out to a lead early, but is not sure if the Canes would be able to hold on.
(23:10) — Mississippi State (+8) at Alabama: Ty says the body blow theory is in effect for the Tide after the hard-fought win over LSU last week. He also believes this could be Dak Prescott’s Heisman moment. Dan is not sure just how good Alabama is this year, and is definitely not sold on its offense, which had to go to overtime to get to 20 points against LSU.
(38:45) — Auburn (+2.5) at Georgia: The Bulldogs’ running game gets to go against Auburn’s shaky defense, which gives Georgia an edge, Dan says, which could allow the Bulldogs to control the game for long enough to win. Ty also can’t get a read on these two teams, but believes more in Auburn at this point. Dan locks up his pick.
