(8:20) — Texas A&M 41, Auburn 38: Dan and Ty agree that this is a Clemson-ing scenario. Texas A&M was unranked and Auburn looked to be the much better team. Ty likes the way A&M’s young players are coming along, but still wants to see a better defense. Dan says he’d like to see the same from Auburn’s defense.

(13:20) — Alabama 20, LSU 13 (OT): Dan and Ty thought the game was entirely too conservative, but Dan liked how Blake Sims played in the final drive of regulation and the creative tight end/left tackle play in overtime for Bama’s offense. Dan wonders if this is the height of SEC play, it’s not a good sign about the QB play in the conference.

BIG 10

(19:30) — Ohio State 49, Michigan State 37: Ty said he was more impressed with Ohio State than any other team on Saturday, especially J.T. Barrett, who may not sit behind Braxton Miller next season. The Buckeyes now have a marquee win, but is it enough to overcome the terrible Virginia Tech loss earlier in the season? Dan thinks the Virginia Tech loss still deserves a lot of consideration.

Big 12

(28:30) — Baylor 48, Oklahoma 14: Bryce Petty had a really nice game, Ty said. Baylor just looked like the much better team. Dan is excited about Art Briles’ first win against a top 25 team on the road. He says Oklahoma looked out of sorts, and could not run the ball at all.

(31:30) — TCU 41, Kansas State 20: Ty was surprised by how badly the Horned Frogs beat the Wildcats. Outside of Tyler Lockett’s long touchdown early, TCU absolutely manhandled K-State, Dan said. Dan said TCU is a scary team when they have their A-game, and he wants to see them against other very good teams from around the country.

(34:35) — Texas 33, West Virginia 16: Dan called this a definite letdown spot for West Virginia. Ty said he knows Texas’ defense is pretty good, and they ran the ball on Saturday, but was still surprised with the result. Dan says Texas will slowly but surely become a conference contender over the next couple of years.

PAC 12

(38:20) — Oregon 51, Utah 27: Ty said it was glaringly obvious that Utah wouldn’t be able to score with Oregon. Dan says the game could be fairly costly given the injuries to Pharaoh Brown and Hroniss Grasu. Ty was impressed with Royce Freeman’s running ability. Once Oregon got rolling, Utah couldn’t stop them, Dan said.

(43:50) — Arizona State 55, Notre Dame 31: Ty wants to give credit to the Sun Devils, while still insulting them, because they were able to score points off turnovers and they made a play when they needed to. Dan said Taylor Kelly had a nice day, DJ Foster ran pretty well for the Sun Devils and the defense caused havoc for Notre Dame.
