The Solid Verbal is a twice-weekly college football podcast started in 2008 by Ty Hildenbrandt and Dan Rubenstein. The show continues through the regular season, post-season, and off-season, because people don’t just watch college football, they live it.
Spring games are a reward for starters to play in a game setting after practicing for a few weeks. Also used to find out how bad the 2nd string and down want to be a part of the program. I guarantee coaches are making decisions based on the 3rd string RB's effort and skills.
Ty, I would not take too much solace in the ND defense in the spring game. After all it was coming against the ND offense. I doubt there is ever much to be learned from a spring game. You never know what the stats mean since you do not know if they were gained against the first team defense or walk-ons.
