North Korea’s First CFB Broadcast

by Dan on April 12, 2011

We stumbled upon the very first North Korean broadcast of a college football game, and it happens to be the 2010 Oklahoma/Oklahoma State game. Don’t be alarmed by the censorship, propaganda, or production value … it’s still football!

(Note: The translation is literal and must be almost completely incorrect.)

Enjoy!

The best part was probably the Wrangler ad.

Bravo-Reminiscent of a clever "Monty Python" bit. Tomorrow, by the way, is the U of Pyongyang's spring game. I believe they're the Rajin Cajuns (thank you Norman Chad.)

Thanks for all the kind words! No worries, Joe, we're all entitled to opinions. I wanted to focus more on the football with the cutaways going to Dear Leader and not as much the crowd. Just my way, I suppose.

Joe bodolai dude the clip was meant to show the whole game. It only showed touchdowns. I don't see how that's slow paced . You're just jealous you didn't think of it. The insecurity in that first post is painfully obvious.

I feel like the Solid Verbal should somehow cross over with Epic Meal Time. (Next level podcasting maneuver!)

I just reread my first comment and it sounds more critical than I mean it. Good work!

Very nice and a good idea. I hope you don't mind a few comments: The slow pace unfortunately hurts the comedy after the premise is established. And the subtitles are pretty much the same joke all the way through. I'm surprised you didn't use any cutaways of fans and their costumes or antics and explain them somehow. Might have been better as a short promo rather than a three-minute piece, but I do like it and you did a great job.
